Hyundai Motor Brazil celebrates on Monday (10), four years of HB20 sales model developed exclusively for the Brazilian consumer and produced in the automaker's plant in Piracicaba (SP). Consolidated from October 2012 to September 2016, the total volume HB20 sales reaches 642,904 units. With average monthly sales exceeding 13,000 cars throughout the year, the mark of 650 thousand units will still be reached this month.
According to data from Fenabrave - National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distribution, we were plated in these four years 460,435 units of the hatchback version, which encompasses the HB20 models HB20X and HB20 R spec. For HB20S sedan version, the volume of registrations reaches 182,469 units. The hatch version of the HB20 has occupied since September 2015, the second in the domestic market sold units.
In the first nine months of this year, Hyundai Motor Brazil accounts for 119,770 units of HB20 emplacadas, with 85,898 of the 33,872 hatch version and the sedan version. Due to the good performance of the HB20 sales, Hyundai brand held in September for the first time in its history, the second position in the domestic car market, with 16,678 registrations and 12.75% stake, considering domestic and imported cars.

The Hyundai HB20 was released exactly four years and soon became one of the most desirable cars in Brazil. In his career, the model was the first renovation in September last year, following the global strategy of brand design and getting new performance items, security, connectivity and comfort. It also won 1.0 Turbo engine, with 105 hp and torque of 15.0 kgf.m available at 1,550 rpm, in April this year.
Additionally, we had several special series: HB20 FIFA World Cup, the first limited edition line, which sold 9,127 units, well above the 8,000 initially planned; HB20 For You, celebrating two years of the automaker in the country, with 5,500 units sold, exceeding by 10% the sales target; HB20 Spicy, which had sold 4,000 units hatch, exceeding 500 units in the initial target; HB20 and Impress, unique to the sedan, which sold 3,000 units.
Marketing since July, the special series HB20 Ocean honors one of the greatest riches of Brazil: its beautiful beaches. The limited edition of 6,000 units, has strong appeal to young people and is innovative, exclusive of equipment and finishes, the camera integrated reverse the media center.
