Full range of
The Amarok Dark Label comes to be positioned between the Trendline and Highline versions. Thus, the model offers a long list of standard equipment. Among them, two 12V sockets (one on the instrument panel and one on the island), steering wheel with height and distance, fog lights with static light for conversion, headlights with daytime driving lights and electrical height adjustment, four high -falantes and two tweeters, air conditioning, exterior mirrors with electric adjustment and heating and automatic controller cruise (autopilot).
Complement the glass list with electric drive, RCD320 radio with CD-Player, SD-card entries and USB and Bluetooth, rear cover with key and weight relief system, third headrest in the back seat with central belt of three-point , central locking doors, keyless alarm, central arm rest (storage compartment with lid), rear window defroster, trip computer, front seats with height adjustment and lumbar and side airbags (driver and passenger) and drawer under the seat the driver.
Among the options, especially the infotainment system with integrated navigation RNS315 the panel, rain and light sensors (Twilight), electrochromic rearview and tow hitch, besides the 18-inch wheels painted black.
Technology and security
Available exclusively with double cabin body and automatic transmission eight marches, the Amarok Dark Label is equipped with the most modern in small pickup trucks segment. The Amarok features as standard and as unique item in the category ABS "off road", which optimizes the action of the ABS in loose soil (eg, gravel and sand) and at speeds up to 130 km / h, providing greater efficiency braking.
ISOFIX system for mounting child seats in the back seat, aid the driver as BAS (Brake Assist System), TCS / ASR (Traction Control) and EDL / EDS (Electronic Differential Lock) are standard equipment of Volkswagen pickup. Along with the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the Amarok has the driver the HDC systems (Hill Descent Control or Automatic Descent Control) and HSA (Hill Start Assist or Assistant Match in Ramp).
Stability control (ESC) - The Amarok Dark Label incorporates standard electronic stability control system (ESC). The system recognizes an early stage that a critical situation Shooting is about to happen. Compares the driver's commands with the vehicle responses to this command. If necessary, the system reduces the engine torque and brake one or more wheels to achieve the stability condition.
ABS off-road - Another innovation of the utility are ABS brakes with off-road function with electronic brake force distributor (EBD). This feature enhances the brakes on unpaved roads, an exclusivity that debut in the segment of compact pickup trucks double cabin. On the off-road button on the panel, ABS and ESC control software causes a short wheel to lock, creating a "small wedge" with the floor material in front of the tire, which helps reduce the space braking in these road conditions "loose".
BAS - Additional function of the ESC system, BAS (Brake Assist System or Assist System braking) is another important safety feature. The ABS and ESC module recognizes, through the speed and brake pedal actuation force, which is an emergency brake condition. At this point, the system increases the pressure in the hydraulic circuit and the power of action of brake calipers, seeking the ideal condition of ABS operation to reduce the braking space.
ASR (Antriebsschlupfregelung) - Traction control - The system helps the driver to start or accelerate the vehicle on a low-adhesion surface, thanks to a series of sensors and an electronic central. The system operates by managing the driving torque and individual wheel braking destraciona, assisting in tire grip in all conditions of use.
EDS (Elektronische Differenzialsperre) - Electronic Differential Lock - On trails or in low traction situation in one of the drive wheels, the electronic differential lock activates the brake wheel with less traction, transferring torque to the wheel with more traction, providing thus better efficiency to the vehicle output. This system of "smart drive" operates automatically, without the driver touch a button on the dashboard. Moreover, the system operates in curves and at speeds up to 80 km / h.
The HDC keeps a low, constant rate of descent of the truck, without intervention from the driver, adjusting the engine speed and activating the brakes automatically according to route requests. Works at speeds up to 30km / h.
The HSA holds the brake fired after the driver get the brake pedal foot for up to 3 seconds, enough time to accelerate and from ramps with slope greater than 3, without a vehicle retreat.
The Amarok Dark Label has four color options: solid white crystal, the silver metal Sargas and Grey Iron and pearlescent Black Mystic.
Motor latest generation of TDI
The Amarok Dark Label comes equipped with a high-tech engine: the 2-liter TDI, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 180 hp, equipped with direct common-rail injection and powered by two turbochargers system, with maximum torque of 42, 8 Nm at 1,750 rpm.
This engine brings the concept of "downsizing" with small displacement engines with high power and torque. With close range of 1000 kilometers, thanks to the reduced medium consumption, the supply is performed much less frequently than normal.
The Amarok Dark Label is able to face the most difficult situations, being able to cross sections with very demanding off road, even steep climbs, with 45 ° angle (100% grade), with the fully loaded vehicle. At the same time, the progressive high-strength rear suspension comprises leaf springs with three primary and two secondary blades, providing high comfort to occupants in all conditions, empty or loaded.
Functionality with Driving comfort
The average truck Volkswagen is a reference in your measurements in both dimensions of the passenger compartment and in the measures of the bucket. Internally, a knee in the back seat allows the Amarok carry five occupants with comfort. With only two people on board, you can fold the rear seat to increase cargo area inside.
In the hopper Amarok measures are 1.555 mm long and 1.620 mm wide, resulting in a large load surface 2.52 m2. But that's not all: the width of 1,222 mm between the wheel boxes is one of the largest offered in the category and lets you carry European standard pallets (1.2 x 0.8 m) at the cross, making better use of cargo space.
Thanks to these measures, the low height between the floor of the bucket and the ground (780 mm) and the ability to take more than 1 ton, is easy to transport recreational equipment such as a motorized quadricycle, or work material. The Amarok Dark Label can pull trailers up to 2780 kg weight on ramps with a slope of up to 12%.
Wide range of versions
The arrival of the special Dark Label series comes to complement the portfolio of Amarok, which is now offered in the Brazilian market in seven configuration options between body single cab and double cab 4x4 selectable or permanent traction, manual six-speed transmission or automatic eight gears.
In the S version of the truck - offered in single cabin configurations (with 4x4 traction) and double cab (4x4 traction) - the 2.0 TDI engine has a turbocharger and has power of 140 hp, which arise at 3,500 rpm. The torque is 34.7 Nm, available from 1,600 rpm.
In the SE versions Trendline, Highline and Dark Label, the 2.0 TDI engine has two turbochargers, which increases its power to 180 hp. The maximum torque is 40.8 Nm at 1,500 rpm with the manual 6-gear transmission. With automatic transmission with 8 speeds (optional feature for the Trendline version and serial number in the settings Dark Label and Highline), the maximum torque is 42.8 Nm at 1,750 rpm.
