Chinese Zotye analyzes cooperation agreement with the Brazilian TAC Motors

The TAC MOTORS, Brazilian manufacturer of jeeps STARK 4WD and a subsidiary of Zotye automobile industry are considering the possibility of signing cooperation agreement, aiming at commercial partnership between the two companies.

The Zotye MOTORS OF BRAZIL, preparing arrival of their vehicles to the country this year, is actually organizing to be a different Chinese.

In addition to the different project to supply parts and services, the partnership with the TAC will speed up the start of production of some models of Zotye and make the brand the only Chinese to offer vehicles with 4x4 traction in its portfolio.

The production line, located in Ceara, should be used for the production of Zotye T200 HUNTER, which share the same assembly line of STARK 4WD, already deployed there. As the Zotye already has operations in some Latin American countries, it is likely that the STARK jeep, 100% Brazilian, also arrange the bags and landing soon in those countries.

Moreover, the partnership with the TAC will Zotye new direction to the Brazilian jeep, despite having excellent market acceptance, sales are still made to order only.

The new group will take over the administration of TAC MOTORS already said that reshape its business strategy and launch new models derived from STARK, including with automatic transmission option and also flex engine, which will considerably reduce the final price of the jeep. The investment partnership is around R $ 120 million and will generate more than 150 direct jobs in Ceará factory.

The Zotye still plans to build manufacturing plant in the state of Espirito Santo, where it will be produced, from 2017, the electric model and the compact Z100 Logic. With the partnership, even new TAC products are likely to have production in the state.
